As I Think of these two Sundanese widows, and Fatima, and the others and how hey have reacted to thier poverty,I see hearts that are in such need of you. I have so much in comparison to them. I can imagine Rina on her steps watching her neighbors and Seri working busily just to meet her families needs. But more so, I see her in her sarong and bare feet answer her door after a hard days work; only to give all the change she has left in her pocket to a neighbor or family member standing there in great need. I see her smile and talk for hours to her, and then return to work. How much do I even have the chance to do that where I live oh Father? I must seek it out.

And you in your abundant richness, gave up all you had to come to earth; and while we were still far off, while we still were sinners, you came to give up everything for us. I am overcome by such love; such compassion. I ask that I may exemplify you; I ask you that I have the heart to give as Seri does. No, as you did; selfless; loving; compassionate. Sharing your love and abundance with others.

Grant these two women knowledge of what you have done for them. Give the workers opportunities to be your hands and feet to both of them; and let them come to know you and know your love. Yes Father; I ask that you may show Rina how she needs to work to give and to prosper in earthly terms; but more deeply I ask you to show her your love her for who she is; let that transform her from the inside out; that she may be spiritually blessed. Father fill her heart with songs of gladness, songs of joy; and let the oppression lift because you fill her. Oh Lord, let that be evident in the whole community. And for Seri, Let her know what you gave for her; and let her own work be transformed and empowered by the Spirit that can come to live within her. Lord transform the Sundanese by the power of love- your love- your light-your goodness. Have compassion. Come. Let them say one day " I lift up my eyes to this Hills from where my help comes. My help comes from the Lord, Maker of heaven and earth."
