"Life to the fullest" — Youth Culture
Drifting down the river we are struck by the sight of massive steel girders overhead, spanning the river. A group of adolescent youth are hanging out on bridge enjoying a relaxed afternoon. Despite the religious and traditional upbringing that these youth receive from their families, many of them grow increasingly apathetic about their parent’s faith. At this stage in their life the only matters for them is their own interest and friends.
Several elements that influence the Teluk Kuantan region’s youth:
- Mischief and exploits: The young men often romanticize an adventurous lifestyle, one without restraints (ie: drugs, illegal activities, sex) but after they get married they tend to settle down and try to compensate for their past with good works.
- Global exposure: The exposure to video gaming, social networking, a booming national entertainment industry and internet has opened the youth up to a whole new world. As such youth tend to be more interested in new ways of doing things, and show willingness to cross traditional boundaries.
And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.

- Pray for an outpouring of God’s spirits, that the young men and women would prophesy and see visions of the coming Kingdom.
- Pray for protection and preservation for the youth of the Teluk Kuantan region from the Enemies’ influence, that he will not steal the prime of their lives but become a generation faithful to God.
- Pray for a positive influence in their lives, godly believers who can be their role models and give guidance as they make plans for their future.
