Along the Siak River
Stalls
Tiny stalls line the edge of the Siak River. The Riau Malay are not entrepreneurial, but fish daily for what they need, then sit at the stalls socializing until a customer comes by. The thatch-roofed stalls are old, wooden and dilapidated. Some of the wood planks in the floor have fallen in, but the stalls continue to be used as they have been for so long.
Give us today the food we need.
Matthew 6:11 (NLT)
- Pray that there would be enough job opportunities to sustain all the people of Riau Province.
- Pray that as the Riau Malay work to provide for the daily needs of their bodies, they would also ask God to provide spiritual food.
