Farid's Dream

During Ramadan, the Muslim fasting month, Farid told this story to his English conversation partner:

'Last night I had a dream. In my dream, I awoke and was going about my day and I ate something. As I put the food into my mouth, a person I did not know came up to me and told me it was the fasting month. I tried to spit the food out and make myself vomit, but I could not get it all out. I had ruined the fast. All my work for the rest of the month would not be enough. I finally woke up from the dream, but felt heavy throughout the day. I was so afraid my fast was not enough.'

• Pray that Farid would realize that he cannot earn God's favor by fasting or other good works.
• Pray that Farid would learn that Jesus has done 'enough.'
