You get off the bus and pass stalls selling tourist paraphernalia. You cross the road and as you walk up the vast stairs you avoid the people dressed as cartoon characters who want you to pay for the privilege of having them in your photograph. Other visitors would rather have their photograph with you, although they don't offer to pay you any money! You cannot avoid the photographers who take your picture. Within half an hour they will have a laminated copy for you to buy for around $3.
You feel a bit like they are trying to manipulate you. Do you really want an A4 size photograph in your luggage?
