Faithful Muslims:
- Confess that: "There is no God but God, and Muhammad is His messenger."
- Offer ritual prayers 5 times a day, facing in the direction of Mecca.
- Give at least 2.5% of their income to the poor.
- Fast from dawn to sunset during Ramadan, the Muslim holy month.
- Visit Mecca at least once in their lifetime.
