Along the Siak River
A Bird's Eye View
A bird's-eye view of Pekanbaru exposes rusty corrugated metal roofs and silver-domed mosques in every direction. Small fires burning rubbish send up smoke to join the cloud hanging over the city. The Siak River is incredibly polluted, and covered with an oily sheen, but a certain type of bright green lily pad flourishes in this environment and clumps of it float by.
Then the glory of the Lord rose up from above the cherubim and went over to the door of the Temple. The Temple was filled with this cloud of glory, and the courtyard glowed brightly with the glory of the Lord.

- Pray for the cloud of the glory of the Lord would to hover over this city instead of a cloud of darkness and filth.
- Pray that, like the lily pads thriving in the polluted river, movements of Jesus-followers would thrive in Pekanbaru.
